When your pet is experiencing pain, an injury, or unexplained symptoms, diagnostic imaging can help your veterinarian understand what is happening inside the body.
At Erin Centre Animal Hospital, we provide digital pet X-rays for dogs and cats to help evaluate bones, joints, the chest, abdomen, and other areas of concern. Digital imaging provides clear images that can support a timely and accurate veterinary assessment.

Digital radiography can provide useful images of different parts of your pet’s body. Depending on the reason for the examination, your veterinarian may use X-rays to assess:
X-rays can help evaluate suspected fractures, bone injuries, joint abnormalities, and other skeletal concerns. They may also be recommended when your pet is limping, having difficulty walking, or experiencing pain after an injury.
Chest X-rays can help your veterinarian evaluate the heart, lungs, and surrounding structures when your pet has coughing, breathing difficulties, or other respiratory concerns.
Abdominal X-rays can help investigate certain digestive and abdominal concerns. They may be recommended when there is a suspicion of a swallowed foreign object or gastrointestinal obstruction.
Additional diagnostic imaging or testing may be recommended depending on the findings and your pet’s symptoms.
Dental X-rays allow your veterinarian to examine areas below the gumline that cannot be fully evaluated during a routine oral examination.
They can help assess tooth roots, surrounding bone, and other dental structures. Dental X-rays may be recommended as part of a dental procedure or when a damaged or abnormal tooth requires further evaluation.
X-rays may also be useful when investigating certain bladder or urinary tract concerns. Depending on your pet’s symptoms, your veterinarian may recommend X-rays together with other diagnostic tests such as bloodwork or urinalysis.

Your veterinarian may recommend digital X-rays when your pet has:
X-rays are recommended based on your pet’s individual condition. Your veterinarian will determine which imaging or diagnostic tests are appropriate.
Your pet will first receive a physical examination. Our veterinarian will review the symptoms, medical history, and reason for the visit to determine whether digital X-rays may be helpful.
Your pet will be carefully positioned for the required X-ray views. Keeping your pet still is important for obtaining clear images.
Some pets can have X-rays performed without sedation. However, sedation may be recommended if your pet is anxious, painful, or unable to remain still during the procedure.
The X-ray images are reviewed as part of your pet’s overall veterinary assessment. Your veterinarian will discuss the findings and recommend the appropriate next steps based on your pet’s condition.

I took my 2 chihuahuas today; the doctor and staff were both so professional, kind and caring towards my babies. I cannot recommend Dr. Pritam Randhawa and his team enough! My cat Bambi was dealing with a badly infected eye that had been getting worse through the night, and I was really worried about him by the time I called the clinic in the morning. They were fully booked due to a dental surgery that morning and could only offer me a 1:30 appointment, but when I expressed how concerned I was about Bambi, they put me on hold and came back offering to see him immediately. That alone says everything about how much this team genuinely cares. Dr. Pritam has always been wonderful from start to finish. He was thorough, attentive, and took the time to explain exactly what was going on with Bambi and what the treatment plan would be. He answered all my questions and never once made me feel rushed. His genuine love for animals is so evident in the way he handles every case. The clinic itself was welcoming, the staff were warm and professional, and I left feeling completely confident that Bambi was getting the best possible care. Thank you so much Dr. Pritam! ❤️Posted on Google NellaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent service and care by Dr.Pawan and team.
